After short military service and a degree in economics and statistics, Paul Brook commenced his finance career in corporate banking, and at twenty-six founded his own consultancy, engaged by The Atlantic Philanthropies (Chuck Feeney AC) and InterPacific Group (Ron Clarke AO, MBE) to advise on philanthropic, environmental and property-linked investments.
That work opened doors: at thirty, Barclays headhunted him to lead sales for Exelerate, its pilot structured working capital programme. His institutional career then took him to Singapore as Associate Director, Distressed Debt Advisory at Presidio Capital, on to Lehman Brothers as Senior Vice President in the Asia Special Situations Group, and to Nomura Holdings as Managing Director, Fixed Income.
In principal and family-office capacities he has been Chief Investment Officer of Brook Capital Partners in Monaco and Chief Executive of Deep Green Capital. He founded PanEuro Group, where he is Chief Executive Officer.
His practice concentrates on the situations conventional market participants overlook: distressed assets and special situations, cross-jurisdictional NPL resolution, corporate recapitalisations and out-of-court restructurings; bespoke capital structuring and liquidity solutions for high-growth and stressed entities; and transaction origination across more than fifteen jurisdictions. He has originated and stewarded institutional credit books through systemic macroeconomic shocks, maintaining liquidity continuity and franchise stability, and has held board-level advisory, risk-committee and governance roles across ASIC-, MAS-, FCA- and APRA-regulated environments.
